Art consumes downtown Bellevue with the Bellevue Arts Museum ArtsFair, the Bellevue Festival of the Arts, and 6th Street Fair this weekend. There are hundreds of artists, along with art activities and demonstrations, entertainment, and food vendors at one of the largest local festival events of the year. The Arts Fair Weekend is comprised of the Bellevue Art Museum’s ArtsFair, The Bellevue Festival of the Arts, and the 6th Street Fair. All events are within walking distance of each other and offer art, jewelry, home décor, sculpture and more for every taste and budget. Expect big crowds. Most local parking is free (come early), and keep in mind the bus is a good option. Admission is free for all three events

Bellevue Art Museum’s ArtsFair

BAM ARTSfair is in its 66th year and is as vibrant as ever. There are over 300 artists participating from across the continental US. You can click exhibitors to get an overview of what you will see. You will also have the option to engage in a multitude of free, fun community programs designed to celebrate art and creative expression. BAM ARTSfair is the original and longest-running fair in downtown Bellevue. Over 150,000 will attend this event during its 3 day run.

Bellevue Festival of the Arts

It is a juried arts and crafts fair located at Cost Plus World Market just north of Bellevue Square. This portion of the Arts Fair Weekend is produced by the Craft Cooperative of the Northwest and organized by artists. It continues to support a variety of non-profits with proceeds from the festival. Bellevue Festival of the Arts is celebrating its 28th year and features 200 of the most talented and popular artisans, musicians and craftspeople from the Northwest and beyond.

Bellevue’s 6th Street Fair

You will experience the original work of 130 artists in an open-air showcase of sculpture, jewelry, home décor, wood and glass work, fabrics and more. It is a mix of outstanding arts and crafts: the perfect treasure from baskets and beadwork to paintings and pottery. Jazz, blues and rock musicians will entertain you from the stage while you stroll. There are also hands-on activities for kids and a variety of food offerings. These include: gyros, German bratwurst, crepes, Asian-fusion cuisine and much more. This venue is located at NE 6th Street and 106th Avenue NE.

Cost: Free, including free admission to Bellevue Arts Museum galleries.

Getting there: From Interstate 90, take the Bellevue Way exit, and continue north on Bellevue Way to Northeast Fourth Street; from Interstate 405, take the Northeast Fourth Street exit (Exit 13A) and go west on Fourth Street to Bellevue Way. You can utilize Metro Transit info by calling 206-553-3000 or going to tripplanner.kingcounty.gov. Best option for Parking is the Bellevue Square parking ramp (come early).
