Bumbershoot

BumbershootBumbershoot is Seattle’s largest and best known end of summer music and arts festival that has continuously grown over its 42 year history.  Artists represent the best in music, film, comedy, spoken word, dance, theatre, performance, and visual arts.  The festival is held at the Seattle Center over Labor Day weekend (September 1st to the 3rd) and over 100,000 visitors spend one or all three days that weekend reveling in the world of Bumbershoot, experiencing everything from superstars to regional favorites.  The festival consumes the 74-acre Seattle Center and plays out on 13 plus stages.

One ticket gets you onto the Festival grounds each day and from there, the world of Bumbershoot is yours to explore. Art disciplines and musical genres are presented on a variety of large and small, indoor and unique outdoor venues. You will be immersed in music, theatre, dance, comedy, literary arts, visual arts, and more all in the same day. You will also be treated to a rich variety of food, merchandise, and urban crafts that are available throughout Bumbershoot grounds—there’s plenty to eat all weekend long.

Early arrival is recommended to secure a seat in the audience. All indoor venues have a limited capacity; tickets do not guarantee entry into every indoor performance.

Directions

Bumbershoot takes place at the Seattle Center, 305 Harrison St, Seattle, WA 98109.  You can use MapQuest for directions.  A map of the grounds will also be helpful for you.

Printable schedules

Bumbershoot’s online schedule offers a unique printable view with filters and the ability to print your customized schedule. For those who prefer an at-a-glance grid view of the schedule you can download PDFs of each day.

Tickets

One ticket gets you into all Bumbershoot venues, including both afternoon and evening shows at the Mainstage, subject to capacity.  More ticket information is available on the Bumbershoot website.

All indoor venues have limited capacity, and tickets do not guarantee entry. Early arrival is recommended.

Entrance into Mainstage shows no longer requires a separate pass. Admission is first-come, first-served, and subject to capacity. Lines for Mainstage performances will form 90 minutes before scheduled show times, and not earlier.

Comedy passes are not required, but recommended to secure a seat in the comedy performances. One Comedy pass will be available per person/ticket, per day, at the Festival while supplies last.

Carefully read the Festival daily schedules before purchasing day-specific tickets. Check your tickets carefully before leaving home; tickets for the incorrect day will not be accepted.

All events are subject to change or cancellation at any time without notice. There are NO REFUNDS or EXCHANGES, even in the event of an artist cancellation.

Online ticket orders include a Service Fee and Facility Fee (per ticket). A Delivery Fee also applies to Will Call or Mail orders, but there is no delivery charge for Print-At-Home.

Seniors & Patrons with Disabilities

Tickets for seniors aged 65+ and patrons with permanent disabilities will be available at Festival gates at $25/day, which is more than a 50% discount off the daily admission. Government-issued personal identification verifying age or permanent disability is required for the discount.
