Garden GateSalvaged Garden Gates Workshop

The spring workshop series at Second Use continues with a garden gates workshop using salvaged materials Sunday, April 7, from 11 AM to 1 PM.  Landscaping expert, Dave Lacey, will lead the workshop. The focus of this workshop is gates built from Second Use materials.  You will learn how to build a salvaged gate, you will be instructed on how to install it, and you will get ideas for creative landscaping in general.  The best news is this is free, it does require an RSVP

  1. Good video! Waste not want not is good for in the home and garden. My husband just made me a bench with salvaged deck cedar – awesome! A gate is next. 🙂

  2. How terrific. Our ReStore is much smaller and far less well stocked, but I love the idea of their holding workshops on how to make good use of salvaged building materials. I have made a coldframe from salvaged windows and a garden gate from salvaged saloon doors, but I would love to stretch my skills and try something really challenging and unique. The city where I live is supportive of such ventures; maybe I will suggest it to the ReStore staff next time I take them a load of stuff.
