The City of Redmond has an extensive park and trail system throughout the city and portions of King County. There are 23 developed parks consisting of over 1000 acres and 17 miles of developed trails. In addition, the city has 8 undeveloped parks consisting of almost 300 acres and nine miles of undeveloped trails. Culture and the Arts
Redmond offers a variety of arts experiences for people of all ages to enjoy. Click Summer Concerts at City Hall for a complete listing (with date and times) of free noon concerts. They will be held Thursdays, July 19 – August 23 on the City Hall Green Space at 15670 NE 85th St Redmond, WA. Click Map/Parking to provide more information. Free Outdoor Theater Festival starts August 10th, and runs through August 12th. ACTS OUT will be featuring classics, comedy, contemporary work, and fantastic family shows staged by top Northwest theater companies. Spring/Summer Recreation Guild
Redmond Spring/Summer Recreation Guide offers wide range of classes that are focused on children, teens, adults, and seniors. There is registration information in the guide listings or contact the Recreation Office by phone during office hours, Mon-Fri 8am-8pm, at 425.556.2300. The Redmond Pool at Hartman Park is now operated by WAVE Aquatics; you may check their schedule at Wave Aquatics or you may call them at 425-883-4422. Wave Aquatics offers lap swimming, shallow and deep water aerobics, open swimming and lessons.
Redmond Senior Center
The Redmond Senior Center (RSC) provides high quality programs and entertainment for the 50 or better adults in the greater Redmond area and the community in general. An on-line calendar is available by clicking RSC online calendar.
The Old Fire House Teen Center is home to a wide array of activities for young people between the ages of 13 and 18. The space features a media lab, homework area, performance studio, and outdoor patio with a barbecue pit and performance stage. The center hosts several regular and special events, including open-mic night, gardening programs, computer classes, and fine and performing arts lessons.
